Basic banking service
What is the basic banking service?
Any private individual legally resident in the European Union, or having the Belgian nationality and residing outside the European Union and deleted from the Belgian population register no later than 10 years ago, has the right to hold at least one current account; this is what is known as a basic banking service. At Keytrade Bank, the basic banking service is free of charge and includes a current account with an associated debit card. The authorised transactions are:
- cash withdrawals via debit card
- money transfers
- standing orders
- direct debits
- and the completion of payment operations using a payment card or similar device
Cash deposits are not possible at Keytrade Bank. Any other transaction will be rejected.
