It's a safe bet that everyone will agree with us that there are many questions to answer when buying, maintaining and potentially selling a property. How much is any particular property worth? What renovation work would give this property a better EPC? What is the EPC right now? Are there any subsidies available for certain types of renovation work?
We would be pleased to help answer all these questions. To do this, we are looking at creating a few additional services, but we want to wait until we have your feedback and input. In short, we need you.
1. Remote valuation
You're looking for the home of your dreams and are ready to make an offer. But is that asking price really realistic? Or maybe you're considering listing your own property, but you have no idea how much to ask for.
Wouldn't it be convenient to have our bank give you an estimate remotely? All you have to do is provide a few details such as the address, number of rooms and spaces, year of construction and type of property. Within 48 hours, we would then provide you with an estimate of its value.
Don't worry, we don't just conjure up this kind of estimate out of thin air. The property's valuation is based on:
- information from the land registry (net rental income value)
- town planning data
- a history of real estate transactions in the area where the property is located
- input from experienced valuers
Yes, I would like to complete this questionnaire.
Don't worry, it only consists of a few questions. And you would be doing us a favour.
2. On-site valuation
Sometimes a "rough" estimate like the above is not enough. For example, a bank might ask for a valuation. But there are also many other situations where an independent professional valuation can save people a lot of headaches. A divorce or an inheritance are two scenarios.
Via the Keytrade Bank website, you can set up an appointment with a qualified, experienced property valuer, who will provide you with a detailed estimate after visiting the property. The benefit is that these valuers have a sharp eye and are more adept at spotting any issues that will impact the value of the property.
Yes, I would like to fill in this questionnaire.
3. Energy renovation simulation tool
We all want to save energy. But knowing where to start isn't that easy. Nor is figuring out how big a bite the all-important energy-saving renovation work would take out of your budget. You may not even have the slightest idea of how much you would need for this in general.
By providing an energy renovation simulator, Keytrade Bank wants to help you evaluate and improve the energy efficiency of your property.
Does that sound good? If so, please complete our questionnaire.
Yes, I would like to fill in this questionnaire.
4. EPC
In principle, every home owner needs an energy performance certificate for their home. Without this certificate, you cannot sell your property in Belgium. Alternatively, you may have recently had work carried out and therefore need to obtain a new EPC.
What if Keytrade Bank could put you in touch with experts to carry out your EPC analysis? That would mean you don't have to waste any energy on it.
Yes, I would like to fill in this questionnaire.
5. Subsidy assistance
Once you start thinking about energy-saving renovation work, your next thought will inevitably be about subsidies. Finding out what you might or might not be entitled to is not always that easy. What steps do you need to take and who should you contact?
Wouldn't it be convenient to receive online subsidy assistance from our bank? Simply answer a series of questions about your property and your financial situation using an app and we will provide you with personalised information about the payments you can claim in your region.
