Mission
The main purpose of the function is to provide support, advice and guidance on financial markets and instruments regulations (a.o. MiFID), deontology, whistleblowing and anti-bribery matters. You will also actively contribute to the approval process of new products/services, as well as significant changes to existing ones.
As Regulatory Compliance Officer, you will bring your expertise to the business and ensure that the bank’s practices comply with the above-mentioned matters and local/internal policies and, more in particular, provide daily support with regard to the responsibilities of those matters by:
- monitoring the regulatory requirements and the Arkéa Group's procedures and rules;
- providing answers to advice and information requests;
- preparing answers to information requests of the authorities, of the Arkéa Group and of internal and external auditors;
- drafting periodical reports to the Group;
- handling and follow-up of specific and more general projects and processes in an independent way ;
- identifying and documenting regulatory risks and developing controls;
- drafting of procedures and operational guidelines that must be put in place or adapted to comply with new regulations;
- conducting trainings and controls.
You will be part of the Legal & Compliance team and will report directly to the Head of Legal & Compliance
Profile
To be eligible for this position, your profile will match the following:
- Master’s degree
- Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience e.g. Regulatory Compliance Officer in Banking or Financial Institutions
- Comprehensive knowledge development of written procedures and policies
- Experience in promoting awareness of above-mentioned matters (ad hoc trainings, internal communication, answers questions from business)
- Required to have full proficiency in French and/or Dutch
- Sharp analytical, research and organizational abilities
- Excellent communication skills, oral as well as written, able to show diplomacy and be assertive when necessary
- Ability to work independently, take initiative and decisions
- Willingness to work in a fast moving and entrepreneurial organization
- Innovating, problem solving, cooperative, and delivering results are essential
