The responsibilities of the Crisis & Business Continuity Risk Officer are encompassing the definition, implementation and review of the business continuity strategy of Keytrade Bank as well as crisis management framework. This strategy has a transversal approach across different crisis and Business Continuity scenarios as well as a vertical approach starting from business processes to functional applications and IT components. The objective of the Business Continuity strategy is to strengthen the operational and digital resilience of the Bank and allow a coordinated and swift resolution of foreseeable disruptions to its activities and enhance crisis management framework.
The Crisis & Business Continuity Risk Officer will work in the Risk Management department and refers to the Chief Risk Officer of Keytrade Bank, the position plays a pivoting role between the Operational Risk Management team, the IT Risk Management team and the various stakeholders of the Bank.
The main duties of the Crisis & Business Continuity Risk Officer will be the following :
- Decline and adapt Arkéa Direct Bank crisis management framework to Keytrade environment;
- Train staff to prepare them to manage a crisis;
- Organize and coordinate regular crisis exercise;
- Build with internal stakeholders a communication library for internal and external stakeholders;
- Define the business continuity strategy in line with Crédit Mutuel Arkéa’s Framework and in coordination with Arkéa Direct Bank.
- Lead and coordinate the Business Impact Assessment (BIA) exercise with the process owners.
- Draft and update the business continuity documentation corpus via continuous interactions with process owner and the Groupe Crédit Mutuel Arkéa, including the business continuity playbooks (detailed plans or manuals) with the process owners.
- Lead and coordinate the business continuity testing plan according to the business continuity scenarios, including the organisation of simulations or resilience exercises and the identification of gaps in the results of the tests compared to the expected resilience of the activity.
- Challenge outcomes of business continuity tests;
- Review the testing plan and results of third-party providers in support of the outsourcing service owner to assess the pertinence of the resilience test plan and results, as well as interacting the service providers to address gaps and remediations.
- Lead the awareness and training programs in order to spread the knowledge, requirements and available toolkits to the organisation in order to improve the understanding of the resilience approach.
- Monitor the effective implementation of business continuity plans with the process owners and adequate stakeholders, by acting as a coordination point of contact.
The Business Continuity Risk Officer should have the following experience, expertise and skills :
- Master in IT, Engineering, or Business Engineering.
- Experience of 3 years in the field of business continuity and/or crisis management.
- Past experience in the banking environment or closely related activities such as payments and trading is considered a plus.
- Knowledge of banking regulations is considered a plus, while knowledge on DORA, NIS 2, EBA guidelines on Outsourcing or EBA guidelines on ICT and risk management are considered strong assets for the role.
- Ability to understand the overall scheme and to structure it at different layers of conceptualisation, for different audiences.
- Ability to coordinate and communicate with various stakeholders to achieve objectives.
- Ability and eagerness to identify, assess, measure and respond to various risks in various scenarios.
