How can we help you?

Joint account

Can you open a joint account at Keytrade Bank?

Yes, you can. You can open a joint Keytrade Bank account with your partner or another individual. Joint account holders do not necessarily need to be family members.

Tip: Make sure you both have the itsme® app ready when you apply*.

Can an account with one account holder be converted into an account with two account holders?

No, that is not possible. You will need to submit a new account application in that case. Simply go to the website, click on “Become a client”, choose option “2 account holders” and enter the details of both account holders.

Do both account holders need itsme® for a joint account in two names?

To open a joint bank account, both account holders do indeed need to identify themselves. They can both do this with itsme®, but this is not mandatory. It is perfectly possible for one account holder to identify themselves with itsme® while the other fills everything in manually.

*Not every application necessarily leads to an account being opened. Keytrade Bank reserves the right to accept or refuse any account application.
